According to a presidential decree published on Thursday on Russia's official legal information portal, Putin also ordered the transfer of Auchan's assets in Russia to temporary administration. Since 2023, Russia has used a temporary administration mechanism to take over the assets of companies from countries it deems "unfriendly." Previously, Russian authorities also placed assets of foreign companies such as Danone and Carlsberg under temporary administration, with some of these assets subsequently transferred to Russian buyers.
