Sept 18 — Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development spokesperson and vice minister Chen Shaowang told a State Council Information Office briefing that During the 15th Five-Year Plan period the ministry will advance smart-city initiatives. He said Chinese cities have moved into a ‘three parts build, seven parts govern’ model, with urban governance gaining relative weight. The ministry will align with digitalization trends and upgrade city information models and city operation-management service platforms.
