Sept 18 — Zhang Xuetao, director of the Real Estate Market Regulation Department
at the Ministry of Housing and Urban‑Rural Development, told a State Council
Information Office briefing that during the 15th Five‑Year Plan the ministry
will push for high‑quality development of the housing provident fund. The
ministry will expand fund coverage and support self‑employed, part‑time and
other flexible workers to voluntarily contribute, aiming to strengthen the
scheme's inclusiveness.
