Statistics Canada said on July 17 Canadian investors net sold CAD 31.0 bln of US
equities in July, the largest monthly net sale on record, concentrated in
large-cap US technology stocks. In the same month residents net sold CAD 5.1 bln
of US government bonds, the sixth consecutive month of disposals, bringing
cumulative net sales since January to CAD 37.3 bln.
