At its 2026 China display industry seminar in Shanghai, Omdia said overall industry volume growth will be limited while product mix is shifting rapidly toward larger panels, reinforcing domestic panelmakers’ market position and triggering a new competition cycle in high-generation OLED as BOE B16, CSOT T8 and Visionox V5 lines ramp. Omdia expects domestic high-gen OLED capacity-area share to reach about 30% by 2030–31. On demand, Omdia forecasts 2026 global TV panel shipments of roughly 240 mln units, a slight decline overall but a pronounced shift to 55-inch and larger driven by rising memory, chip and component costs; large-size panels could face seasonal supply squeezes over the next two to three years.
