China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the CHINA STATE PLANNER and eight other
ministries issued measures to promote RV (recreational vehicle) consumption and
will implement an RV consumption promotion campaign. They encourage eligible
regions to refine local policies, promote RV lifestyles, and raise RV spending.
Cities with vehicle purchase limits are urged to optimize RV management,
shifting emphasis from purchase restrictions to use-based regulation. Auto
circulation consumption reform pilot cities are supported to list RV consumption
as a reform task. Pilot cities for new consumption formats are encouraged to
include qualified RV campgrounds and related scenes in support programs. RV
campgrounds may be included in tourism promotion activities and linked discount
schemes with surrounding businesses. Authorities plan to roll out
RV-consumption-friendly destinations in phases.
