attended and spoke at the 2026 G20 Energy Ministers' meeting in Houston. China
urged respect for natural resource sovereignty and for countries' autonomous
choice of energy development models, and called for open, fair,
non-discriminatory cooperation to protect global energy industry and
supply‑chain stability. The meeting adopted a G20 Energy Resilience Working
Group communiqué on critical minerals. China held exchanges with the UK and
other delegations.
