On Sept. 18 the International Atomic Energy Agency announced 11 countries were elected to its Board of Governors for the 2026–2028 term following a Sept. 17 vote at the IAEA’s 70th General Conference. New members: Angola, Brazil, Greece, Honduras, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Slovakia and Sweden.
