Shaanxi statistics bureau said industrial value added of enterprises above designated size rose 4.6% YoY in Jan–Aug, accelerating 0.5ppt versus Jan–Jul. By category, mining value added climbed 7.7% YoY, manufacturing 1.5% and electricity/heat/gas/water supply 2.5%. Key sectors: coal mining and washing value added +9.0% YoY; oil and natural gas extraction +9.7%. Output: raw coal production +3.8% YoY; natural gas production +7.3%.
