A major blackout hit Greater Buenos Aires on the evening of the 19th, cutting
power to over 77,000 customers, mainly in the northern suburbs, and causing
local traffic delays. Preliminary checks indicate a network fault at Argentina’s
northern electricity distributor; partial restorations are underway.
