Five departments jointly issued a notice on "Strengthening Supervision of Ecological and Environmental Technical Service Institutions and Deepening the Rectification of Data Falsification" recently, jointly with the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, and the State Administration for Market Regulation. This notice aims to further crack down on data falsification by ecological and environmental monitoring and other technical service institutions, strengthen routine supervision, continuously regulate market order, and contribute to the construction of a beautiful China. The notice emphasizes: adhering to a problem-oriented approach and prioritizing technological prevention, strengthening technological empowerment and source control; adhering to precise governance and routine rectification, improving the long-term supervision mechanism; adhering to collaborative linkage and pooling efforts, strengthening cross-regional and cross-departmental cooperation; and adhering to law-abiding guidance and a balance between leniency and severity, severely punishing malicious violations and strengthening legal assistance and guidance for those with minor violations.
