Pfeifle noted that when Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Rezaei reiterated his demand for negotiations with the United States, "he consistently emphasized ending the blockade, unfreezing frozen funds, and ceasing attacks. But he didn't mention compensation and reconstruction funds, which tells me that despite Iran's still very strong rhetoric, there is a concrete indication that the pressure exerted by the United States on Iran is having some effect, suggesting that both sides are still looking for room for negotiation in the coming weeks."
