Early hours of Sept. 21 local time, a munitions depot in the Aleppo region of
northern Syria exploded violently, producing large fires and thick smoke.
Continued secondary explosions impeded rescue access and the Damascus-Aleppo
highway has been closed. The cause remains under investigation.
