Sept. 21 — Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said President Xi
Jinping will make a state visit to the United States at the invitation of U.S.
President Trump. Xi will hold in-depth talks with Trump on major issues
affecting China–U.S. relations and global peace and development. Guo described
reciprocal visits within six months as a historic milestone and said China is
willing to work with the U.S. to develop a constructive, strategically stable
relationship, strengthen dialogue and cooperation, and properly manage
differences.
