The 2026 China Radio Conference opened on Sept. 21 in Xiong'an New Area, Hebei.
The conference said advanced manufacturing and new industrialization rely on
scarce radio spectrum and a secure electromagnetic environment, and called for
optimizing spectrum allocation to drive radio-technology innovation and support
industry development. It urged building innovation platforms to integrate radio
R&D with industrial applications and strengthening the legal, regulatory and
standards framework for radio governance. Organizers said authorities will step
up radio monitoring and enforcement, including tougher action against illegal
frequency use and unauthorized stations, to bolster electromagnetic-space
security. China also pledged deeper international cooperation and will host the
ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2027, aiming to influence international
spectrum governance.
