INVESCO Asset Management (Japan) strategist Tomo Kinoshita said in a report that after last Friday’s policy rate increase to 1.25%, the Bank of Japan could lift the policy rate to 1.50% in December. He cited limited deterioration in corporate financing per the BOJ’s quarterly survey, rising upside inflation risks from higher energy prices and a weaker yen, and increased yen depreciation risk from the Fed’s hawkish shift. Kinoshita expects further hikes in March and July next year to take the policy rate to 2.0%, ending the current tightening cycle.

At a Sept. 21 results briefing, Xianfeng Jingke said orders on hand at end-1H2026 were more than 80% higher YoY, a record, but deliveries and revenue labeled due to delayed capacity ramp-up and stricter customer process requirements for advanced-node products. Management expects capacity expanded earlier this year to be steadily released in H2, driving material YoY and QoQ growth in deliveries and revenue. Ceramic heaters have passed validation by leading equipment vendors and will enter small-batch production and start contributing revenue in Q4; electrostatic chuck products remain in R&D, with customer sample validation expected in 2027.
