Japanese Prime Minister TAKAICHI will tell President Trump on Tuesday in New
York, during the UN General Assembly, that Japan committed remains to $550 bln
of US investment pledged under their tariff agreement. Tokyo and Japanese
companies have targeted oil-related infrastructure and power-supply projects to
support AI; Tokyo says the investments will create US jobs. The meeting is the
leaders' first formal summit since TAKAICHI's March Washington visit; officials
say the summit will review progress on the pledged investments.
