[Japan Plans to Host AI Robot Competition on the International Space Station] According to Nikkei, Japan hopes to train the next generation of space engineers by holding a competition on the International Space Station (ISS), where teams will use artificial intelligence to control a robot. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) plans to hold the event as early as 2027 on the Japanese "Kibo" experimental module of the ISS. A report by market research aggregator Global Information states that the market is expected to reach $12.4 billion by 2035, approximately double the size in 2026.
