State Taxation Administration data show tax revenue in Jan–Aug rose 5.9% YoY,
0.5ppt above current‑price GDP growth of 5.4% in 1H. Tax receipts measured at
current prices have broadly matched economic growth so far this year, the agency
said. The largest 10,000 taxpayers accounted for nearly half of total tax
receipts; the top 1 million taxpayers made up about 90%; remaining firms,
including small and micro enterprises, contributed roughly 10%.
