China's Law on Arable Land Protection and Quality Improvement, the country's
The first specialist legislation on arable land protection, will take effect on Jan.
1 next year, the State Council Information Office said. The Ministry of Natural
Resources said it will roll out detailed supporting policies for implementation,
with emphasis on stabilizing arable land area, optimizing land-use structure and
strengthening supervision.
