India's foreign minister Jaishankar held the first joint ministerial meeting
with the Visegrad Four (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) on Monday
during the UN General Assembly in New York to deepen cooperation and defense
ties amid tensions with the United States. Slovakia's foreign minister said the
V4 supports India's bid for a permanent UN Security Council seat. Ministers
discussed global and regional security, reform of multilateral institutions, and
cooperation on space, connectivity and people-to-people exchanges.
