These officials stated that the key question now is whether the situation can be brought under control or whether the confrontation will continue to escalate. One of the regional consequences being assessed by all parties is the possibility that the Houthis might attempt another direct attack on Israel, as they did last year.
The US Embassy in Israel also issued an alert, urging US citizens to remain vigilant and consider the possibility of flight disruptions, airspace closures, and transportation disruptions. However, diplomatic officials emphasized that this expanded and updated security warning does not necessarily mean that any immediate new developments are expected.
