Sept. 23 — Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology
said Zhang Xue’s full-chain motorcycle production base, planned to produce
500,000 units a year, has been established in the Lianglu Guoyuan Port bonded
comprehensive zone in Liangjiang New Area. The site covers 186.5 mu (~12.4 ha)
and will house a full manufacturing chain including in-house engine R&D and
production, spanning core components to final assembly and testing. Once fully
operational the project could generate tens of billions of yuan in annual output
and is expected to draw about 100 upstream and downstream supporting suppliers.
