Competition in the LPDDR6 memory market continues to heat up. Following Changxin Memory Technologies (CXMT)'s announcement this month of mass production, Samsung has made further progress, completing the industry's first LPDDR6 verification, achieving speeds up to 10.7Gbps on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra platform.
Looking at the progress of each company: Changxin Memory's LPDDR6 has entered the mass production stage, with speeds up to 12.8Gbps; SK Hynix has completed development, with a base speed exceeding 10.7Gbps; Micron is conducting 16Gb LPDDR6 sample testing, but has not yet released detailed specifications.
On the consumer side, Changxin's solution is used in the Xiaomi Mi 18 Fold; Samsung's solution is compatible with Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro. SK Hynix and Micron have not yet announced their smartphone partners.
