The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said it received a report on Wednesday
that a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz was hit by an unidentified projectile,
causing a hull fire and loss of propulsion that left the vessel adrift. All crew
have evacuated; the incident resulted in two casualties. Authorities are
investigation and no environmental impact has been reported.
