Sept. 23 — At iQiyi’s 2026 autumn event, founder and CEO Gong Yu said AI has
driven an explosive surge in short-form dramas and is creating opportunities for
long-form content; falling production costs have led to a large increase in
creators and titles, initiating a positive industry cycle. He said iQiyi will
use AI to lower entry barriers, shorten production cycles and develop new
AI-generated content formats to drive user content consumption growth.
