Sept 23 — MUSK said he is bullish on bio‑enhancement over the next decade and
that Neuralink is trying to break the bottleneck in human information transfer.
He warned that even if AI is benign, human–machine information transfer remains
too slow: human peak bandwidth is roughly 100 bits/sec versus computers
communicating at trillions of bits/sec. Any technology that raises human
communication speed would improve human‑machine alignment; otherwise an AI
communicating at trillions of bits/sec would be like humans talking to a tree.
