According to Iranian media Fars News, the Chabahar-Zahedan railway project has seen progress, with track laying completed for both the main line and branch lines. The Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the Governor of Sistan-Baluchistan Province recently inspected the Chabahar railway station and the project's construction progress. Upon completion, Chabahar Port, Iran's only seaport, will be connected to the national railway network. The Chabahar-Zahedan railway project is 630 kilometers long (straight-line length), and if the branch lines are included, the total length will reach 735 kilometers.
