China launched the Yaogan-40-04 satellite from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center
today using a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket. The satellite reached its
planned orbit and the mission was declared successful; it is tasked with
electromagnetic environment detection and related technology trials. The flight
was the Long March family’s 670th mission.
