Sept 23, Beijing — The eighth China‑OPEC high‑level dialogue was held,
co-chaired by National Energy Administration director Wang Hongzhi and OPEC
Secretary‑General Haitham Al Ghais. Officials exchanged views on the global
energy market, the energy transition and deeper cooperation, and reported broad
consensus. Wang said China regards OPEC as an important partner in global energy
governance and is willing to continue cooperation to deepen oil and gas policy
coordination, strengthen energy‑transition collaboration, jointly engage in
changes to global energy governance and help safeguard the long‑term healthy,
stable development of global energy markets.
