Oracle has notified the project developer — a subsidiary of Blue Owl Capital —
invoking a force majeure clause to avoid substantial costs tied to its large New
Mexico data-center, people familiar with the matter said. The notice seeks to
defer payments if Project Jupiter is delayed and fails to go live as planned in
2028; the sources said Oracle is not seeking to exit as the anchor tenant. The
move adds uncertainty to a project already facing local opposition and
regulatory hurdles.
