Musk said SpaceX will accelerate AI development and, if current growth persists,
could reach a leading position in the field in about six months. He noted
SpaceX's AI effort spans roughly three years versus Anthropic's six and OpenAI's
ten, but said the company can still close the gap given its infrastructure
strength. Musk flagged hardware and compute as the principal constraints on AI
progress, saying rapid deployment of large-scale compute is difficult and that
SpaceX will continue expanding its infrastructure. He added incremental gains in
AI capability have limited value once they exceed task requirements.
