Iranian Foreign Ministry: Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi told Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov that the current insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz is a direct consequence of the United States' breach of commitment and crimes against Iran. He recalled Iran's goodwill demonstrated in negotiations aimed at reaching an understanding to end the war and emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as always, demonstrates a serious and earnest attitude in the diplomatic arena, determined to defend its own interests and national security, and to prevent the United States from abusing the Strait of Hormuz to threaten Iran's national security. The Russian Foreign Minister reiterated Russia's principled position condemning the military aggression of the United States and Israel against Iran, and the United States and its allies' abuse of international organizations as tools to achieve their goals, and stressed that all countries must abide by international law and the principles of the UN Charter.
