Three sources said the Trump administration is considering measures to ease
diesel price pressure rather than imposing a diesel export ban. Options under
review include increasing supplies of tax-exempt diesel for agricultural and
construction use and urging more states to suspend diesel taxes. The
administration could announce steps as soon as Friday or early next week, the
sources added, but no final decision has been made.
