At the morning-session close, China's main futures contracts were mostly lower.
Lithium carbonate and Shanghai silver fell more than 4%, live hogs dropped over
3%, palladium declined nearly 3%, and coking coal, red dates, glass and Shanghai
gold were down over 2%. On the upside, the Europe container-shipping route
jumped over 5%, methanol gained more than 4%, fuel oil rose over 3%, Dalian
soybean No.1 was up about 2%, and propylene, LPG, polysilicon and asphalt
advanced over 1%.
