Daishin Securities analyst Yoo Hyung-geun stated that SK Hynix's stock price currently appears undervalued as competition among memory chip buyers intensifies and drives chip prices up rapidly. The analyst noted that SK Hynix began shipping its High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) 4 product in the third quarter, one of the most advanced DRAM chip types currently used for artificial intelligence applications, and the company's overall DRAM sales in the fourth quarter are likely to be stronger than expected. "The current stock price does not fully reflect the strength of the company's operating environment," Yoo wrote in his report. He predicts that HBM4 will account for 40% of SK Hynix's total revenue in the third quarter and 50% of its full-year revenue by 2027. Daishin Securities maintains its "buy" rating on SK Hynix with a target price of 3.2 million won. SK Hynix's stock closed down 5.0% on Monday at 1.768 million won.
