Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told a regular briefing on Sept. 28 that
President Xi Jinping conducted a state visit to the United States from Sept.
23–25 at President Trump's invitation. The two leaders exchanged in-depth views
on major issues affecting China‑U.S. relations and global peace and development
and reached a series of important consensuses, including to jointly build a
China‑U.S. constructive strategic-stability relationship based on respect,
fairness and equality. They also agreed to support each other's hosting of the
APEC leaders' informal meeting and the G20 summit. China is willing to work with
the U.S. to implement the leaders' consensus and to promote stable, healthy and
sustainable development of China‑U.S. relations, Guo said.
