Beijing municipal government issued its "15th Five" cultural and tourism
development plan, prioritizing tech-enabled tourism and product diversification.
The plan calls for accelerating new tourism scenarios and wide application of
artificial intelligence, cloud computing, virtual reality and
ultra‑high‑definition audiovisuals; bolstering cultural-heritage tourism
anchored on the Beijing Central Axis; developing industrial-tourism products
that integrate tourism, retail and experiential services; and expand
fashion-oriented domestic-trend tourism by encouraging creative consumers
products and upgrading the "Beijing Gift" brand.
