After the meeting, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kallas said member states have not made any new decision to supply Patriot missiles to Ukraine. One option under discussion is temporarily lending missiles from member states' and EU partners' inventories with later replacement; she said replacement costs could be covered by the EU's €90bn aid loan to Ukraine. Kallas added the EU has so far approved procurement plans worth €28.3bn under that loan, which include Patriot missiles to be produced in the US.

The council will first discuss a 300 bln vs 300 bln reciprocal tariff‑reduction framework, aiming to reach agreement. An agricultural working group has been set up under the council, and the council will also consider other measures to optimize bilateral trade.
