U.S. Iran sanctions to permit flights carrying Shia pilgrims between Iran and
Iraq. Sources said the U.S. Treasury is preparing a one-month waiver to allow
Iraqi Airways to operate between Iran and the Shia shrine city of Najaf, with
possible longer-term waivers under review; the proposal remains under
discussion. The move would be a narrow adjustment within the U.S. Iran sanctions
framework.
