China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said summer grain output
exceeded 300 billion jin (about 150 mln tonnes) for the first time. Early‑rice
production has remained above 56 billion jin (about 28 mln tons) for six
consecutive years, and large-scale autumn harvesting is under way, leaving the
annual grain harvest on track.
