Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs: In view of the current international situation surrounding Syria and the bilateral relations between Japan and Syria, the Japanese government has decided to partially lift the asset freeze and other measures previously imposed on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his associates during the Assad regime.
