Google (GOOG.O) said on Tuesday it has appealed European Commission decisions
under the Digital Markets Act that require it to give rival AI services access
to Android device functions to compete with Google Gemini, and to provide search
data to certain third-party search engines and AI chatbots. Google filed the
challenge at the EU General Court against both rulings. The company said the
measures would force sharing of users’ private search records without sufficient
anonymization and would weaken Android’s security protections.
