At end-June, all-currency external debt stood at $2,498.2 bln, up $86.1 bln (4%) from end-March, driven by firmer cross-border trade and increases in trade credit and intercompany lending. RMB-denominated external debt rose to 56% of the total, up 1 ppt from March; medium- and long-term external debt accounted for 41%, unchanged from end-March.
