At midday closing, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results. Benzene, styrene (EB), propylene, and methanol rose over 3%, while the average monthly contracts for plastics and polypropylene rose over 2%, and asphalt rose nearly 2%. On the downside, TSR20 rubber and SC crude oil fell over 3%, eggs fell nearly 3%, and polysilicon, rubber, Shanghai silver, platinum, and European shipping contracts fell over 2%.
