Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun held a regular briefing on Sept 29. A TASS
reporter asked about a Kremlin spokesman’s comment that the upcoming Shenzhen
APEC summit provides an opportunity for a trilateral meeting of the Russian,
Chinese and US leaders. Guo said China, as this year’s APEC host, is willing to
work with all parties to help APEC’s ‘China Year’ deliver substantive results
and contribute to Asia‑Pacific and global growth. On the trilateral meeting he
said he had no information to provide.
