At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with TSR20 rubber up nearly 6%, rubber up over 5%, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) up over 4%, synthetic rubber up nearly 4%, and alumina, soybean meal, palladium, and propylene up over 2%. On the downside, asphalt fell over 3%, container shipping to Europe fell over 2%, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) fell nearly 2%, apples, cotton, and pulp fell over 1%, and lithium carbonate and caustic soda fell nearly 1%.
