Riksbank minutes said if growth and inf remain on their current path the bank
expects to begin tightening later this year; policy rate is unchanged at 1.75%.
Governor Thedéen said a November rate increase would be reasonable. The bank has
held rates since September 2025. A weak Swedish krona has lifted inf pressure,
and with markets expecting another ECB hike this year Riksbank tightening in the
coming months is seen as likely, though some analysts expect action only in
December.
