Russia on Sept 30 summoned Denmark’s ambassador to protest a Sept 14 incident in
which a Danish Air Force helicopter approached the Russian navy frigate "Jimin"
in neutral waters of the Baltic Sea, the foreign ministry said. To prevent what
it called a provocation, the frigate’s commander ordered two red signal flares
fired.
