SoftBank Group said on Oct. 1 that Vision Fund 2 completed a third and final $10 bln follow-on investment in OpenAI, completing a previously announced $30 bln top-up. The transaction brings SoftBank's cumulative investment in OpenAI to $64.6 bln for about a 13% stake. The $10 bln tranche was funded by foreign-currency-denominated senior notes issued on Sept. 24.
